Currently studying for the DAT and this book couldn't help me review for Biology any better.

Used this to help me study for the DAT. It is a good summary of things you might find through Bootcamp or Destroyer. (NOTE: if you are buying this to study for the DAT, this should be used IN COMBINATION with other materials. On its own, it may not be sufficient for everything on the DAT.) But it was very inexpensive compared to other study materials out there. The end of section quizzes were a nice addition to the material. 10/10 would recommend.

My son, who is a senior in HS taking AP Biology, swears by this publication as it has helped him tremendously this year in the class. His friends, who have taken this class previously, also endorse this product, as it has saved not only time, but energy.

The book is exactly what my daughter needs for her high school AP Bio class. I just wish it wasn't already used and wet looking since I paid for a new version. It did arrive very quickly.

I was expecting a change for the 5th edition. However, when compared to the 4th edition, it is nearly identical. Stick to the 4th edition of you already own it.

My son is using this as well as Barron's for his AP Bio test. He says it is a great study guide and provides great supplementary reading.

Lately I've been re-reading stories by some of my favorite authors and THEN CAME YOU is one of them. Its the first book in Kleypas' "Gamblers" series and was just such a great story. First of all, I love a strong female heroine who defies convention which is Lily through and through. During the very first chapter she makes a scene and causes a stir, which is actually when Alex first takes notice of her. She was too funny and I never knew what to expect from her, because she simply doesn't care. I also loved her independence and strong will, which always make for an interesting character.It honestly took me a while to warm up to Alex who was very quiet in the beginning and seemed to be brooding most of the time. Then there was his former fiancee who he seemed obsessed with, which I admit got on my nerves a bit. But when he finally thaws out and gets over his past, his newfound love for Lily was beautiful to behold. Alex even sticks by her side and helps her when he discovers Lily's not so perfect past. In the end a bold heroine and a strong hero made this an historical romance not to be missed. The majority of the romance books that I read are contemporary and paranormal romances. However, I wanted to read about a hero who is jealous and possessive but stopped sleeping with OW after meeting the heroine and I was running out of books to read that had a hero like that as I simply read too much. Also I wanted to story to including hot sexy times. So I decided to read an historical romance and since I read a book by this author previously and it got good reviews this seem liked a good one to read. I was not sorry that I read this book as Alex was the type of hero that I was looking for with the added bonus that he was not an manhoe before meeting Lily. In addition the book had the right number of hot smex scenes, not too many as to overwhelm the story but enough to satisfy me. Also it kept my attention. At no time was I bored. So it was worth the $5.99 price tag.I am disappointed that the author made Derek, who I like in this story and in the hero in the next book, such a manhoe including after he meets the heroine Sarah. He has smex with married women and prostitutes. Based on reviews there are detailed scenes with Derek and his mistress and then after he has smex with the heroine Sarah he has smex with a prostitute. So not for me and so sad that the author thought it was a good thing to have a hero do those things, especially while the heroine was celibate. I don't care how "tortured" the author claims that Derek is, he does not make what he did acceptable to me.However I am looking forward to reading some of the author's other books that based on the reviews that I read, have heroes like Alex as opposed to Derek.

Lily Lawson is beautiful, wild, reckless, and the toast of the Ton. She's been ostracized by her family for her behavior, but when she finds that her younger, gentle sister Penny is to marry in a loveless marriage, Lily agrees to help Penny's real love and stop the wedding. However, Alex, Earl of Raiford, is determined to marry Penny. He wants a loveless, bland marriage because of the death of his earlier fiancee. Lily makes him crazy with her exploits, but she also brings him out of the shell he's been living in. But Lily has her own issues; she fears and dislikes most men, and she's being blackmailed by a man who holds her young daughter.This is a great story. I read the second book in the series first a while ago, so I knew that Lily and Alex got together, but the how of it kept me riveted. Lisa Kleypas is a wonderful romance writer. She made the transformation of both Alex and Lily totally believable, and their love was truly evident in all their actions. Alex knows how to calm Lily without controlling her, and Lily finds trust in a man for maybe the first time in her life. I read the book all in one go; it's that kind of book. Wonderful story.

The first third of this book did not much inspire me to continue reading--an inexplicably fey heroine, an inexplicably dour hero, and an inexplicably rapey sexual attraction between them rather put me off. But things began to improve as soon as (and I know how ridiculous this sounds) Lily conks Raiford on the head and ties him to her bed. Yes, matters actually become LESS inexplicable at this point. Lily's search for her dauhter moves to center stage and drives the action and drama from this point on. The sex continues to be a bit morally ambiguous, but I had expected that from an earlier book of Kleypas'. Ultimately, I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed Then Came You.

This book captivated me from start to finish. Lily was a very strong woman and Alex was her match. Two passionate souls who hated each other on sight, yet could not hold back their attraction as the story progressed. Lily did everything under her power to free her sister from a marriage to Alex and help her run off with her true love. Alex swore to see Lily in hell before he’d release her sister . The ensuing clash of wills set this story up for a feisty read. Lisa Kleypas is so talented in keeping her reader enthralled. This book will not disappoint.

Sometimes I forget how wonderful it is to read a book by Lisa Kleypas. Nothing's better than staying up all night to read one of her books. This one is no exception. Lilly leads a reckless life. When she arranged for her sister to elope with the man she really loves, Lilly is left to face the rath of her sister's fiancee. But his reaction is not what she expected and his tenderness least of all. If only she could tell him her secret and not lose him. Definitely a recommended read.❤️

This is the second book in the Auntie Lily bedtime silly story collection. I liked it even more than the first. The lead character is a silly cow who tries to imitate other animals like a cat, hen, donkey, cheetah, monkey, snake and frog, to name just a few. In the process, children learn the characteristics of many animals. Rhymes are crisp and sharp, and the alliteration allows the sounds to roll off the tongue when reading aloud. Adults will enjoy this one as much as the children who are listening.Illustrations are vivid and expressive, allowing even the youngest child to clearly get the message. This book is a perfect choice for an older sibling reading to a younger brother or sister. Perhaps my favorite part is the riddle section at the end that asks the child to answer ten riddles. After reading the book a few times, many readers will be able to create their own riddles. This series is a clever, creative, interactive approach to learning. Highly recommended as a bedtime story or read aloud for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school age children.

It put a smile on my face to see my Granddaughter snicker and giggle listening to the book and really loved the end with the cute riddles.she surprised herself when she got the answers right.I would really like to see more of these books, the illustration for a kindle book was awesome and I could read the words unlike some books you have to zoom in. .wonderful book!!

Read with my e and I hear old grandkids and they say "It was super funny! "They liked it because it was ridiculous seeing the cow in different animal forns.

This is great kids book. And funny, too. My great granddaughter will love it. I can just hear her giggling away.

My grandchildren love this book. The rhymes make it very enjoyable for the ones under 6. I like the way it incorporates learning about different animals into a fun story. The riddles at the end are an extra bonus.

Voyager is quite the exciting sequel, especially since I wasn't expecting it at all! Reunions, buried treasure, and a seafaring adventure! It picks up right where Dragonfly in Amber left off. Claire is pushed to action when she realizes that Jamie may still be alive. She doesn't know if she wants him to be or if it'll be better if he did die during the war. What follows is lots of research following possible leads, but it was never boring! The story alternates between Claire, Brianna, and Roger doing the research and Jamie actually living it! Oh, Jamie, what a busy life you've had.I pretty much loved Voyager, despite a few troublesome scenes that I really could have done without. I loved seeing how Jamie lived over those twenty years he and Claire were separated and thought the other dead. There were moments when I was like "No, Jamie! Don't do that!" and then I felt myself getting super giddy the closer Claire got to finding him (thanks to those noooo! moments). I just needed them together! Their reunion isn't all sunshine and rainbows though. They're not the same people they were twenty years ago. Things have happened that they must work through. I was annoyed with Claire at times for being upset over some things Jamie did. I do understand her being mad that he doesn't tell her right away, but she could have handled it better, especially since she traveled through time to be with him again!Then Voyager switches from being about the romantic reunion to more of an adventure! This was so fun! I was a bit less interested when Claire was trying to solve this medical mystery. It was actually kind of gross and I just wasn't invested, probably because I didn't care about the people involved. But it does lead to even more excitement and odd coincidences. Things do get a bit...weird in the last few chapters. *Beep* is completely off her rocker and I was like WTF is happening right now?! I really did not expect that at all, and felt like it was a bit much. Other than that though, I do think this was my favorite thus far. Now, what will Jamie and Claire do next....

After finishing the audiobook for the previous book in this series, Dragonfly in Amber, I found it very hard to move on to something else. My mind was still with Jamie. Even though I had planned to take a bit of a break between books, I ended up waiting only a couple of weeks before starting Voyager. I remember falling in love with this book the first time I read it and I am happy to say that I still am in love.My teenage daughter asked me what this book what about and I really had a hard time answering that question. It is about so many things. Mostly it is about Jamie and Claire. I love the fact that in this book that are no longer as young as they were in earlier books. They are in their 40's and have done a bit more living. I think that their maturity really shows in how they handle everything.This pair have both lived a remarkable lives up to this point. There were high points in this book and low points but beyond everything their love for each other never waivers. I think that the biggest strength of this book is how clearly the characters' emotions are felt on the page. The scene in the print shop made my heart melt. I have read the book before so I remembered that scene but it still got to me.This book is long. There are so many different things happening in this book and after one situation is dealt with they move on to the next one. I did start to feel a bit exhausted from this book towards the end. I still enjoyed every moment but I was starting to feel like I might deserve a medal once I reached the end. I do feel like this book has a more natural stopping point than the previous book. I plan to take a bit of a break before jumping into the next audiobook although I don't plan to wait very long.The narration for this audiobook was nearly perfect. Davina Porter is the perfect choice for this series. She is Clair and Jamie and all the other characters to me at this point. I never tired of listening to her voice and sometimes listened for up to four hours per day. I am amazed by how well this narrator is able to perform so many different voices and accents. I always knew exactly who was speaking and felt myself being pulled into the story. This audiobook is truly a wonderful way to experience this novel.I do highly recommend this book. This is not a series that you would want to read out of order and I don't think that this book would work at all as a stand-alone novel. Anyone who has enjoyed the first two books in the series will not want to miss this installment. This is the kind of story that fans read and re-read and find enjoyment in it every time.

I watched both seasons of the show, I had never heard of these books before that. When I realized I would have to wait a year for the next season I immediately bought the book, patience not being my strongest attribute. Aside from the fact that Diana really knows how to weave intricate plots that never failed to surprise, it was lovely to discover that the casting for the show had been so brilliant and the characters were written for television just as they lived in the book, the voices are the same, the humor, the connection between characters. So reading this book (I have already bought the next one) was an absolute treat. And it didn't spoil the next season for me at all, now I'm even more excited to see how they translate the book to the screen. Diana's writing is vivid, descriptive and so colorful that one can see it all clearly and feel the depth of emotion and excitement. It is so visual that it's as though it was written for the screen.Voyager was the first book I ever read on a Kindle and, frankly, I thought I would miss the feel of running my fingers over the paper as I turned the pages. But I got to the next page faster on the kindle, and with this book it's just what I wanted. If you love the series, you will love this book and it will NOT spoil the show, it will make you more anxious for them to hurry up and shoot! I'm just delighted and about to start the next book.
