I have served on numerous non-profit boards while either being employed by a large US company or running my own small company. This book is good at pushing stale boards who know they're stale and want to change into fertile areas of meaningful activity. It even has some "how to's" at the end that the authors refer to as "parlor games", but such things work. It is a fast read, but one needs to re-read it a 2nd time to get the flow, and I'm not sure I have it down yet. My complaints are: 1) the book is overly erudite, academic, pedagogical. Too much like it was written for other scholars to critique. I wish the authors would have told stories about their own board experiences to humanize the concepts. 2)Many of the labels and much of their invented terminology, such as "cues and clues", "fuzzy front end", "sense-making", and in particular "generative leadership" are almost invented words. A little more common language and basic definitions would have helped. If you look up "generative", it is the adjective form of generate, which is defined as bring into existence, produce, engender. Somehow, those terms all come off as consultant-speak. The concepts seem right, but one almost needs to wrestle it to the ground before digesting the meaning. Heavy slogging for a lowly board member. Needs a bit more Hemingway and less Faulkner.

Governance as Leadership was a great book in looking at how to constructively build a more effective board.I read this for a class on Vestries and Church Governance. This book really helped break down the main modes of governance so that I could more constructively look at what is necessary to make more effective conversations. The break-down of the fiduciary, Strategic and Generative models was really great in looking at how these types of boards thrive with their strengths, as well as how this can hinder a boards abilities to govern well and roundly. Outlining these traits I think is really nice in being able to identify the strength of your board and vestry, while also looking forward to what you can include and work on to build your board.I thought this book was really important and effective in looking how to reframe how a board views its work for the nonprofit.

It's good from the stand point that all the pertinent information is there.But it is dry, dry, dry.....difficult to keep reading except for the fact thatI needed the information. It was a little 'college textbook' ish.

I found this book to be a breath of fresh air. It offers a new way of looking at nonprofit boards, in a relatively short, easy to read manner. There is a wealth of information designed to help nonprofit boards of directors become more effective. Unfortunately, existing approaches have been less than successful with most boards. This book identifies the problem as one of purpose rather than performance.The book identifies three modes that boards of directors can operate in: the traditional fiduciary mode, the strategic mode and the generative mode. The authors emphasize the importance of encouraging board members to engage in generative thinking. Engaging board members in this way makes their work more meaningful and satisfying, while at the same time benefiting the organization through more creative, committed leadership. It suggests signs to look for to identify opportunities for generative thinking.Another interesting new concept discussed in the book is considering directors as a form of "working capital". This is further broken down into intellectual capital, reputational capital, political capital and social capital. Again, this new framework for looking at what board members have to offer increases the opportunities for them to make meaningful contributions to the organization.

Tends to be a little dry and theoretical but really an excellent and thought-provoking book. It's helping one of the boards I serve on get past some issues. If you are looking for anecdotes, quick fixes, or ice breakers, keep looking - this would not be the book for you.

After taking an introductory tapestry weaving class last winter, I was looking for additional resources for inspiration and instruction. I have been an admirer of Maryanne Moodie's tapestry work for a while, and when I learned she was publishing this book last March, I immediately preordered it and anxiously awaited its arrival. I received the book today and was so disappointed to find it is not a comprehensive manual of Maryanne Moodie style tapestry weaving, but rather a how-to book of the kinds of crafts you see on Pinterest or that kids make at summer camp - like a floppy basket made from strips of blue jeans, a yarn-wrapped lamp shade, a "festival hair tapestry", a yarn-decorated bicycle basket, a tote bags made from a store-bought rug, and a gods-eye updated with fringe, to name a few. If you are looking for some projects to entertain an 8 year old on a rainy day, this book may work for you. If you are looking for inspiration and techniques for creating beautiful modern tapestries, I'd look elsewhere. I agree with another reviewer that "Beyond Craft: The Art Fabric," by Mildred Constantine and Jack Lenor Larsen is excellent for inspiration. I also recommend "DIY Woven Art" by Rachel Denbow for both inspiration and for detailed and easy to understand tutorials on various stitches and techniques - this book is basically everything I expected On the Loom to be.

I like Moodie's work. Unfortunately, the book falls short. I returned it because I did not find a single project that I consider attractive or useful.I agree with design lover; Rachel Denbow's book on DIY Weaving delivers exactly what I expected from Moodie's book.

I was so excited to receive this book. I preordered it and was counting down the days for when it would come in the mail. I even waited until I could devote my full and undivided attention to poring over the sumptuous pictures of creatively woven wall hangings. To say, I was underwhelmed is an understatement. I am a beginner weaver and I realize there is an importance of Maryanne fully explaining color theory and the various stitches of basic weaving. But, her tutorials and items she chose to highlight fell completely short for me. I follow her (and have for some time) on instagram and her website. She does incredibly modern things with weaving and has truly elevated this craft to a full art form. I was hoping that she would explain some of her techniques for her truly modern and avant-garde uses of fiber and the loom. While she did touch upon circular looms and looms using natural objects, she did not give any insight in how she played around with pattern and fiber to do some of her truly wonderful works. I understand that she may not want to give all her "secrets" away, but I just didn't think she went far enough in discussing how she lays out her patterns and work prior to weaving and how she incorporates three dimensional objects into her weavings. I know this is not a true secret because other weavers doing similar things have done this in their books. She does incredible work. Her weavings are fresh and dreamy and just altogether fantastic. I wish her book would have inspired me to attempt some of her more unusual patterns or weavings. But, it didn't. It's not a terrible book but like I said, it just fell short. Maybe I expected more from her because I know what she can do. And, I figured she would let us in on how she took this art form and truly made it her own so that we, in turn, could make it our own. I hope she does another book and expands more upon weaving, pattern, stitches, and color.

I was so excited to get this book but was very disappointed upon opening it. Maryanne Moodie has such a large following because of her beautiful work - I started weaving after seeing her work and have spent way too much time looking at her instagram for inspiration - but almost everything featured in the book has nothing to do with her own work.. I found that confusing and felt a bit cheated. My expectation was that I'd get a book about her work and I got.. a random assortment of weaving-related crafts? I can easily find the instructions portion of this book online, so I was hoping to hear from her about her thought process when weaving, the more complex weaving techniques, the way she creates negative space, where she gets yarn & how she organizes her space, creating your own voice and 'style' -- an insider view into her process, inspiration, dreams, etc. The book itself is beautifully made and some of the projects are interesting, but overall I was disappointed. Adore Maryane Moddie and her work - but don't love this book.

I have been a fan of Maryanne Moodie's wall hangings for two years now, and was so excited when she announced she was releasing a book! I preordered it immediately and was pumped then day it came home. Sadly, after examining every page and project, I decided to return it as it really had very little to do with making wall hangings, and even less to do with her stylistic approach. If her name and her forward weren't in the book, you'd never know it was written by her. The projects are hokey, and do seem like they are from a children's craft book. The photos in which she teaches you to weave are so small that you'd be better served going to free internet tutorials like the one at the website "Honestly WTF". The name " On the Loom" and cover photo are very misleading, so this book would benefit from a renaming and rebranding.

A more accurate title for this book would be "Crafting with Fibers". The loom-based instruction is minimal at best and doesn't cover even some of the bare bones of tapestry weaving such as hemstitching. There are some interesting fiber crafts (such as making a teepee with ribbon) presented but they are the most very basic in nature and most of the instructions are text-based. If you are looking for a book on modern tapestry weaving, complete with step-by-step photo-based instructions, I would recommend "DIY Woven Art" by Rachel Denbow.

This series is great for young Muslim girls to see themselves as protagonists. Also good in terms of elevating the importance of Islamic history through setting. While it borrows a lot from overdone plots in time travel and adventure heroics, and character development is weak, it is a fun and easy-to-read series that contributes meaningfully to children's literature for Muslim girls. Literature like this is important for subculture groups to value themselves and their heritage while acknowledging belonging to a broader cultural and personal narrative. Recommend for middle childhood, 7-10 year olds. Older readers would find it stilted and cliche.

According to my son - the Jannah Jewel books are ones that he could stay up all night under his blanket reading with a flashlight! I have such a hard time finding chapter books with good content, and these are great. Even though the main characters are girls, it is an enjoyable series for boys too b/c it is full of adventure and a touch of history. Highly recommend this series! We are waiting for more.

My daughter hasn't completely finished the book yet but so far is in love with it. She's looking forward to reading the whole series. I can't give insight into the writing as I'm not reading it but my 8 year old gives it 5 stars.

Great idea for an inspiring series for young girls. My 10 year old went through the whole book on day 1 and loved the story line and already asking for the follow-up books in the series! We're also going to introduce it to our school library so others can enjoy it as well. So glad we stumbled onto this one!

My daughter could not put it down! The book has strong female role models that a young girl can identify with. I love how they integrate history, fantasy, and moral challenges into the book.

My 9 year old daughter loved this book and asked for the whole series. It's great to have an adventure book for muslim little girls where it doesn't have anything against their religion or culture.

Bianca and Paulâ€™s story is truly amazing. Paul has had a crush on Bianca since he first met her. Bianca has like Paul from the moment they met. What Paul does for Bianca is truly remarkable. Watching these two get closer will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

This was a most enjoyable clean read! I loved Bianca's and Paul's story. I have read all of Emma Kingsley's books and have been pleased with each one. My favorite is Legal Love. If you have not read any of her books, you are missing out on many hours of reading entertainment.

Had a difficult time reading this book. The character development was nonexistent. The storyline silly.I realize that the leading character is a strong woman...but she didn't have to emasculate Paul. She made him into a idiot who couldn't talk, practically a virgin or a sniveling girl. It took away from the story. Can't give a high rating. I can say this the grammar and editing was good.

This was an excellent book! Sweet romance of a future queen who has had feelings for a doctor's but fears he doesn't feel the same way.

Enjoyed the read. As with all royal stories there are some glaring skips of protocols. But most glaring was the confusion. She is not seeing but she is. They are showing the world that they love each other and yet there is multiple references about should they or shouldnâ€™t they hold hands. Their lack of alone time. Paulâ€™s lack of really seeing the life of royal. All of those things are missing. A little more depth and consistency in their relationship would make this a better story.

The title of this book intrigued me, and by pages six and seven I knew the author and I were on the same page (figuratively speaking). His description of the "thin veneer of civilization" as an onion that becomes more smelly as each layer of skin is peeled away is perfect. I've used that description myself many times, before and since reading his book. When the SHTF not only does infrastructure and authority unravel, so do people. And that's what we all must keep in mind when we consider survival and emergency preparedness. It's not just about having canned food and drinkable water on hand for an emergency, it's about what to do if you need to take your canned food & water and relocate (bug out), what to do if you run out of food & water, and what to do if someone tries to take your food & water, what to do if the need for food and water is not your only worry (and chances are it won't be). We must all keep in mind that what we saw in the aftermath of Katrina in the U.S. and the earthquake in Haiti is just the tip of the iceberg in comparison to what can happen.I'm not what most might call a "dooms-dayer" or survivalist. I simply believe in being fully prepared for the absolute worst. Well, as prepared as you can be given your resources, finances, and the area you live in. To me being prepared only for what you think 'might' happen is just not enough. To me, true emergency preparedness is being prepared for anything that can realistically happen. And that's what this book is about; emergency preparedness, no matter what your reason. In reality, there's no such thing as being too prepared.By page nineteen you realize Rawles is not only a true survivalist who believes TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) is coming, but that he also is not the stereotypical survivalist, as they're often portrayed by the media. Meaning, he does not come off as a selfish, dangerous, irrational, or irresponsible person who's waiting for the sky to fall or who wants to board himself inside a cabin in the woods and wage war on the government. For Rawles it's not all about hoarding food, buying guns, and killing anyone who dares set foot on his land. He simply believes in being fully prepared for the worst you can imagine, the worst that can realistically happen, whether that be a major terrorist attack, a tsunami, strong earthquakes, a rash of tornados, rolling blackouts that lasts for weeks (or even months), and anything in between. And one of the things I like about his book is the fact that he makes it clear, without trying to invoke hysterics, that just about anything can happen, and he wants to help you be prepared. After reading this book the average citizen should realize we are all extremely vulnerable to so many possibilities, and we all need to be prepared.Rawles gives enough info for the average person to understand the basics of rural, suburban, and city survival, plus a little more. I've read several books that claim to do the same (prepare you for the basics of surviving on your own) but so far I find Rawles book does it better than others. That does not mean this book is the only book you'll need, because there are some specific things you need to learn that are not included in his book (basic first aid is one example). But he does give you enough information to know what more you need to educate yourself about. He makes you think. He makes you use your brain, makes you wonder, makes you consider the possibilities, and gives you ideas of what you can do to prepare, of what you need to do for your personal situation. And I can't say this enough times - this is something we all must do; be prepared for all of the possibilities.For the above reasons I believe his book is a must read and a must have for every individual and family library. Every head of household and adult child should read it. Families should discuss it (filter scary words like "end of the world" for young children) and the possibilities. How To Survive The End Of The World As We Know It is, in my opinion, the best survival primer guide for the average citizen. Buy this book, but also buy books and read articles specific to how to perform first aid, even take classes. Buy this book, but also get more details about food storage, self defense, short term emergency survival, and long term self sufficient living.Lastly, I should also mention the second reason I like this book and books like it. I believe people should become more self-sufficient because being self-sufficient and self-reliant means you depend less on others, on government, on your paycheck. If done correctly and responsibly, being self-sufficient not only helps you in an emergency situation, but it also helps you economically. And in these hard times that's something 99% of us need. I feel any survival guide or emergency preparedness guide can give you ideas that will help you save money too. Two examples of this are knowing how to grow your own food and the use of solar energy. Both are ways to help you survive in an emergency as well as ways to save money in daily living.

Though I saw this book years ago at a gun show, I just recently bought a copy. It had some decent information, but a very different mindset from stuff like Michael Bunkerâ€™s book Surviving Off Off-Grid.To sum it up, James Wesley, Rawles wrote a 300 page book aimed at relatively financially well-off urban and suburban people. He basically admits this toward the end of the book, stating that most people will not be able to live at their retreat because they cannot (or will not?) leave their nice paying suburban jobs.If one is already living in the country and gardening and cutting firewood, and maybe even has lived in the country their entire lives (as I have), then this book will be of very little value. The gun information in this book is decent, but if one is already a gun enthusiast they will already know much more than is briefly taught in this book.There is some good info in Rawlesâ€™ book, such as how to purify water. Gardening is barely addressed, except for advice on growing wheat and other grains. But the overall mindset of this book is buy, buy, buy. Do not produce your own goods for life and stockpiling, just buy industrial goods with your fiat money! Buy foods, buy several years worth of medicine, buy three pairs of eyeglasses, buy nightvision equipment, buy multiple vehicles powered by different fuels, buy a caterpillar dozer if you can. Seriously. Buy, and then buy some more.This book is of no real value to working class people in rural areas and small towns. This book is for wealthy suburbanites who are willing to risk everything by staying at their corporate jobs as long as they can, before hopefully exiting post-collapse to live a country life that they are unaccustomed to, beside neighbors that they do not even know. Bad idea.This book tells you to do everything, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, except to right now began a transition back to a sustainable agrarian lifestyle like our ancestors lived. Yes, there is a crash coming someday. No, urban prepping is not the answer.

I absolutely love this book. It is informative, insightful and packed with good practical advice on how to survive long-term in a crisis situation. Everyone even remotely interested in being prepared for disaster/grid-down situations should read this book if for no other reason than to have your eyes opened to the enormity of what it would actually take to survive.However.... The overall strategy outlined in this book is far out of the reach of the typical American citizen. Even if you live in rural America, to plan and prepare as thoroughly as Mr. Rawles suggests, would cost around $500k, (not including the actual cost of the land itself), and essentially requires that preparing for said disaster become your full time occupation. Therefore, as good as the information is, it's not really practical for the majority of us which, in then, will only leave you feeling overwhelmed and depressed.

Some of the sample questions were nearly identical to the AFOQT, like the shape recognition and rotated blocks. The instrument comprehension section was very similar to the actual AFOQT, but uses images that are easier to read than the actual test. The block counting section is more difficult in this book than the actual AFOQT, because the practice questions have blocks of different sizes, yet the actual exam has blocks of equal size.The bad:I found at least two mistakes in this book, one of which made studying for the block counting more frustrating than it had to be.1. In Chapter 2: "Arithmetic Reasoning", the sample question for proportions at the bottom of page 34 comes to an incorrect conclusion. It seems as if the author accidentally switched the two corresponding ratio parts.2. In Chapter 6: "Block Counting", the example question on page 135 is incorrect, which can cause significant confusion. In the actual AFOQT, you are instructed that every block is the same size, making it quite simple, but pressed for time. The sample question asks how many blocks are touching #3, and gives the answer as 4 instead of the correct answer of 5. The author seems to be forgetting that the lower right hand block would also touch #3 on the side that we cannot see in the picture.This book definitely helped me prepare for the AFOQT though, and I would recommend it assuming you follow common sense when reading directions. In addition, I would recommend supplementing this book with other online practice tests and a review of the FAA's pilot handbook.

PROS:The aviation information, math, verbal, and table reading sections were very helpful. I had the impression that this guide's questions in arithmetic reasoning were more difficult than my actual AFOQT. The difficulty of this guide's table reading section was on point with the actual AFOQT. The block counting section was also very helpful.------------------------------------------------------------------------CONS:The instrument comprehension section is missing over half of its practice questions (pg. 123 - 132). This section is crucial! And plenty of practice is sorely needed. The missing pages are a huge disappointment.Coming from my engineering background, I believe the concepts of physics in this guide need to be carefully reviewed and explained more clearly. The explanations can be confusing and misleading. There were also quite a few typos scattered about.--------------------------------------------------------------------------OTHER COMMENTS:The new AFOQT removed two sections- hidden figures and rotated blocks. They also added a few sections, which extended the test period to 5 hours. The new sections are reading comprehension and situational awareness. This study guide is good for use as an introduction to the AFOQT, its format, and the types of material that you may encounter on the test. It does not, however, pay particular attention to detail and can be quite sloppy, especially in the sections covering sciences, where there are numerous typos that could easily cause confusion for readers without a solid science foundation. (A specific example of general carelessness can be found on p. 245, where you can still find Microsoft Word track changes markings.) It's also worth knowing that this study guide does not contain a full-length practice test.That said, I still found this guide useful, especially when supplemented with GRE math materials and sources that contain practice tests.

I will say this is the easiest to follow AFOQT study guide I have used. This book provides accurate pre-tests and helpful tips that helped me when taking the test. Before I took the AFOQT, I had not been to 'formal' school in about 10 years so I wanted to prepare properly. I will say that because of this book (and studying using the time constraints), I did well on my AFOQT. This book is what I have recommended to others who are looking to take the AFOQT.

Turned me from not knowing a single thing about flight to having all basic information. Great brushup on every other section. Definitely needed to supplement the flight section as it only has basic information, and I would have BOMBED the test if this was the ONLY thing I read. Also the chart-reading section was semi inaccurate. The book trains you to read from small charts, while the actual test had one HUGE chart that it based every question on the one chart. Probably would be best to create your own large (100x100) chart with random letters and test yourself to get as many coordinates as possible.

First, someone highly recommended this text. I am not disappointed. In two parts, this book has a math beginning and abundant graphical summary of airfoil performance. Starting with Wing-Section characteristics, the forces on airfoils and their response to those forces are covered in 2D, 3D then fluid analysis. Symbols used in each chapter are identified prior to use. Theoretical treatment is a progression of the developing insight in symbolic approximation from the contributors to understanding aerospace engineering. Many of the equations are represented in graphs so one can grasp it quickly and then proceed with the math. Even then, the authors provide a quick precis for a perspective on defining solutions. Many times they seek the quick and simple, not simplistic, heads up approach while not flubbing on the math. So, while Theory of Wing Sections is not an introductory text, it is an excellent supplement or toolbox to deliver achievable options along with their performance and limitations. Many designers or engineers dig into the graphical data section to explore well tried airfoils as a prelude to computer firmware analysis which may not divulge the underlying methods a given design is based. This book takes the mystery out of the meat. To truly ferret through the fundamental concepts here, one should have a working knowledge of calculus prepared to use it. However, one can find use of this work studying the graphical wing section data noting the Reynold's numbers apply to full size aircraft. One starts here for UAV model scale aircraft, then digs deeper.

I learned aeronautics to the Univ. of Tokyo about 50 years ago. I acquired almost all the theoretical contents of this book at that moment. This book helped me in recovering my deteriorated memory. The systematic research done by NACA had led the U.S.A. toward victory in the world war against Japanese air force for they lack such a huge amount of knowledge base to develop advanced aircraft.

Before I begin my review, I want to let you know that this book was written BY Aeronautical Engineers, FOR Aeronautical Engineers. Other reviews have said this book is difficult to understand, but that's probably because they don't have the background to understand what this book is.That said, I am an Aeronautical Engineer and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and using this book. 'Theory of Wing Sections' is known throughout the Aerospace industry as the 'Airfoil Bible', and has been quite useful to me in writing wing analysis codes. In this book, you'll find all of the 'classical' airfoil theory; from basic thin airfoil theory to flow models and much more.The best part of this book, however, is the extensive series of airfoil data tables in the back. You can literally find out anything you want about the NACA 4 and 5 digit series airfoils. Having all this data at your fingertips is an aerodynamicists dream. It saves us the trouble of calculating performance characteristics and also serves as a check for most kinds of wing analysis codes you write.I highly recommend this book to any Aero Engineer or Aero student. You WON'T regret having it!

I had this book in college and lost it. It's a good reference for any airplane designer and yes there is a lot of math but that is a product of aerodynamics and engineering. Once you understand the graphs you can start building models and drones and possibly the next Canadian fighter jet.

This is one of my favorite technical references. Ever since I was a child wings and airfoils absolutely fascinated me. Now, don't think for a second that this book is only useful to aerospace engineers. Anyone dealing with a foil shape traveling through a fluid can find plenty of useful information in this book, if they understand enough about wing sections. I wouldn't buy this book to learn how to calculate lift, drag, or aerodynamic forces unless you're very mathematically savvy, as of it's all explained in a rather dry and theoretical sense. I had the benefit of learning it in a classroom scenario, as part of my degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering. What is truly of value is the information on all the NACA wing sections and the empirical data they collected, contained in the massive appendices.

I keep this book on hand for it's comprehensive listing of various airfoils used in the aerospace industry. It was especially helpful during my capstone course in selecting the appropriate airfoil for our mission. A great book for those in the aerospace industry to have on hand.

GURPS Dragons isn't quite what I expected. I thought I would be getting a book of cut and past dragons to use in adventures. There's a few of those, but that is not what this book was after.GURPS Dragons is an overview of every dragon legend, myth, and tale from all over the world. It covers Sumarian, Greek, Persian, Egyptian, Chinese, Irish, Welsh, Japanese, Korean myths and many more. Did you know the legends of Tiamat came from the old Babylonian empire?The book has a few templates, some new advantages/disadvantages, rules for breath weapons, and suggestions for how to fit dragons into campaigns in a variety of time periods.Even if you don't intend to run a GURPS campaign, this book is worth reading.

So as a role player, I want to put them into my game. Before this book, though, RPG dragons aren't much like the cool dragons of fiction.GURPS Dragons makes dragons more interesting and multi-dimensional. Options are presented for using dragons in ways that match up with different cultural traditions, from dumb brutes to ancient creatures of deep wisdom. Instead of just being something to fight, they can be a major power broken in your campaign, or an interesting creature to negotiate with.The artwork in this book is amazing as well. It was published as game books were becoming full color with full-page bleeds. True to Steve Jackson Games, they didn't stint on the quality. Full color bleeds throughout with rich artwork. The book was published during the transition between third and fourth edition, and doesn't have the fourth edition trade dress (which uses solid-color bleeds instead of patterns or artwork).As a transitional book, it also doesn't have all of the features that later fourth edition books would have. The character template system wasn't full fledged yet, so templates were included at the end (yes, you can play a dragon). It's early development, but still fully functional for a fourth edition game.So would I recommend this book? Absolutely, provided you were planning on playing a fantasy game. GURPS fantasy is without a doubt my favorite fantasy game, but a lot of people come to this system for its handling of modern or futuristic settings.

I've always loved the dragons in fantasy. And I really enjoy the GURPS system. This helps expand to bring that D&D feel into your GURPS world. I also find it very useful for references for other systems as well.A must have for your library.

I have been a GURPS player for 18 years. This book, while slick looking and as well-written as any GURPS book (thanks mostly to Steve Jackson Games style standards), it does lack the substance I expect from most GURPS books. Now, it may be that there is just not a lot of non-copyrighted infor on Dragons to draw from, but the book could have been meatier.

GURPS Dragons is a very informative book from the eastern to the western dragons and the others in between, if you want to be a savage dragon or an intellectual one. This book is a must for all fantasy world gamers. Even if you dont play GURPS is is a very informative book, even if your just interested in dragons.
